You can only edit certain animal details on the mobile app. Editing BCMS-connected animals will need edited details updated direct with BCMS too. Delete animals with caution.
BCMS-connected animals will pull details from BCMS on syncing up each night, so will override Breedr edited details if BCMS has not been notified directly. If you notice you've edited an animal but it has reverted, get in touch with BCMS.
See below for instructions to edit animal details:
- Head to the 'My Cattle' tab and select animal you need to edit
- Select 'Manage'
- 'Edit'
- You can edit the below fields and the 'Save and finish':
- Sex
- Castrated status
- VID
- 'Show more IDs' opens up EID field that you can also edit/update
- Breed
- Sire
You can also do this in the web app:
From the 'My Cattle' tab > select an animal > click the yellow 'Manage' button > edit the same fields as the mobile
Please contact customer support if you need help editing any other animal details!
We generally advise to edit an animal, over deleting the animal from your app. This is to avoid complications as the system holds the deleted information for 90 days, preventing you from re-adding the same animal ID again.
See below for instructions to delete animal/s (make sure you've read the tip above!)
- Head to the 'My Cattle' tab and either a) select multiple animals or b) select the specific animal you need to edit > 'Manage'
- Scroll down to 'Delete animal/s'
- 'Confirm'
