Get started with Breedr Pro

Follow these simple steps to get your farm set up for cattle, sheep or both.

See steps below to get set-up and ready to go!

Note: You can gets started with sheep or cattle or both - just use the species switcher on mobile or web to access the desired species - Switching between cattle and sheep on your Pro account.

Step 1 : Download the mobile app & log into your web app

Breedr Livestock mobile app is available for Android or iOS mobile phones or. Our desktop web app also allows for activity logging and is synchronised with all data logged on the mobile app too.

You can also access a desk top version of Breedr by visiting uk.breedr.co/login. Login with the same details as your mobile app, here you can view your herd list and access many different reports too.

Step 2: Import your animals

For Cattle - Import your herd from BCMS/ ScotEID

Getting started with Breedr couldn't be easier if you already have your Farm Software Username and Password from BCMS, or if in Scotland your Username and Password for ScotEID.

(tip): If you don't have your BCMS username and password, use our handy requestor and read our guide on how to use the requestor.

For Cattle & Sheep - You can also upload a spreadsheet of animals

Use this method if you are importing a file from an existing farm management system e.g. FarmPlan or Farm Matters.

Check your equipment compatibility and get bluetooth connected.

Start a speedy Quick weigh session or Weigh and draft into groups or fields depending on weight, sex or days on farm.

No digital weigh head or EID, no problem! Breedr works perfectly well without them

Step 4: Organise your Animals

If you are using Breedr to manage both your sheep and cattle use our species switcher functionality to easily flick between accounts.

Organise your animals into a Groups and Fields this can help manage your animals and track performance easily.

Map your farm in moments, track where your animals are and share this information with your team.

Track your Movements and Medicines for regulatory and farm assurance needs through the Breedr app. Once you've got your account connected to BCMS or ScotEID you can opt in to send movements and registrations through the Breedr app to your regulatory system within a simple 2 step process. Top tip, make sure you opt in before scanning any passports or logging movements.

Once you have started logging data against your account why not view this information in report format on the web app. Find more information on reports here

Step 5: Start Trading

Now you're all set up - start buying and selling your animals on Breedr.
