Move animals on to your holding in Breedr

To move animals on to your farm through Breedr is a simple two-step process: 

1. 'Scan Passport' or 'Add Animal' to add animals to your farm on your mobile app.
2. Go to your Regulatory Dashboard to either 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID', 'Change date', 'Don't Send' or 'Undo' movements.

Scan passports and/or add animals from your mobile app:

The quickest way to add animals is via the 'Scan Passport' button on the homepage of the Breedr mobile app. Scan the bottom bar code of the animal passport to automatically pull across the number, date of birth, sex, and breed of the animal.

1. From your home screen, you can go straight to 'Scan Passport'.
2. The camera pops up. Scan the bottom barcode of the passport to automatically pull through the passport number, date of birth, sex, and breed to the 'Add Animal' form. Follow on from step 3.

If you do not have the passport for the animal, you can use the 'Add Animal' button on the homepage of the app to manually enter animal details.  

1. From your home screen, click 'Add Animal'.
2. Fill out the form accordingly.
   1. Use the species icon in the top right to ensure you're correctly recording either cattle or sheep. If the animal is a steer, ensure you tick 'Castrated'. 
   2. The camera icon in the 'Passport ID*' field takes you to the camera, where you can scan the bottom barcode to automatically pull through the number, date of birth, sex, and breed.
3. Once you've filled out the required and additional details you want to add, click 'Save and finish' if you have no more animals to add. Or, 'Save and create another' to add another animal.
4. You'll see this screen display when you've clicked 'Save and finish'. 'Save and create another' takes you to the screen above in step 2.

Approve movements in your Regulatory Dashboard on the web app:

Click on the number in the 'Ready to Approve' column to bring up animal/s that you have just moved on farm. Select the animal/s you want to approve. Selected animal/s have a green tickbox to the left of them.

• You can tap the top left box of the table if you want to bulk select the list.
• Individually select the animal/s by selecting boxes to the left of the table against a specific animal/s.

 Then select:

• 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID' to notify BCMS/ScotEID of the movements.
• 'Change date' (if you notice the move-on date is incorrect) and then proceed to 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID'.

• 'Don't Send' if you have already reported directly to BCMS/ScotEID outside of Breedr and/or do not use Breedr for your BCMS/ScotEID movements.
• 'Undo' if you'd like to revert/undo the movement.
