Move animals on to your holding in Breedr

To move animals on to your farm through Breedr is a simple two step process: 

1. 'Scan passport' or 'Add animal' to add animals onto your farm on your mobile app
2. Go to your Regulatory dashboard  to either 'Approve and send' this movement to BCMS; 'Change date' of the movement; 'Abort (do not send)' movement or 'Reject' (undo/revert) movement
   
   

 

Scan passport and/or Add Animal from your mobile app:

The quickest way to add animals is via the 'Scan passport' button on the dashboard of the Breedr mobile app. Scan in the bottom bar code of the animal passport to automatically pull across the number, date of birth, sex and breed of the animal.

1. From your home screen, you can go straight to 'Scan passport'
2. The camera pops up. Scan the bottom barcode of the passport to automatically pull through the passport number, date of birth, sex and breed to the 'Add animal' form. Follow on from Step 3 below

 

If you do not have the passport for the animal, you can use the 'Add animal' button on the home page of the app to manually enter in animal details. 

 

1. From your home screen, click 'Add animal' 
2. Start filling out the form accordingly
   1. Use the species icon in the top right, to ensure you're correctly recording either cattle or sheep. If the animal is a steer, ensure you tick 'Castrated'. 
   2. The camera icon in the 'Passport ID*' field takes you to this screen where you can scan the bottom barcode in order to automatically pull through the number, date of birth, sex and breed
3. Once you've filled out required and additional details you want to add > 'Save and finish' if you have no more animals to add. Or, 'Save and create another' to add another animal
4. The screen display when you've clicked 'Save and finish'.
   Note: 'Save and create another' takes you to the screen above in Step 2

 

Second step - head to your Regulatory Dashboard on the web app:Click on the number in the Ready to Approve column to bring up animal/s that you have just moved on farm. Animal/s show up in the table below where you need to select the animal/s in order to send them. Selected animal/s have a green tickbox to the left of them, as above.

• You can tap the top left box of the table (circled) if you want to bulk select the list, or,
• Individually select an animal/s, by selecting boxes to the left of the table against a specific animal/s

 Then select:

• 'Approve and send' to notify BCMS/ScotEID of the movements/registrations
• 'Change date' (if you notice the move on date is incorrect) and then proceed to 'Approve and send'

Alternatively, select:

• 'Abort (do not send)' if you have already reported directly to BCMS/ScotEID outside of Breedr and/or do not use Breedr for your BCMS movements
• 'Reject' if you'd like to revert/undo the movement
