Quick Weigh overview

Familiarise and navigate your way around Quick Weigh where you can quickly weigh animals, either via bluetooth connection to your compatible stick reader and/or weigh head, or manual entry

Where to find Quick Weigh?

From your Breedr homescreen, either head to the 'Quick Weigh/Manage Crush' button (left) or the 'Sessions' tab (right) to find the 'Quick Weigh' button.

Quick Weigh start screen:

If you're connected to an EID reader and/or a weigh scale, the ID and/or weight will automatically populate in the corresponding fields once a stable reading has been found. If you're not connected up, simply tap and search for the animal ID and enter the weight record against the animal record. 

If the animal is not yet in Breedr, click 'Manage'. Here you have the option to 'Add animal (scan passport)' and/or if an EID needs matching to a VID, click 'Search and match animal'. You can also create drafting parameters here by selecting 'Draft settings', click here for more information.

Quick Weigh information:

Once you have pulled up your animal record and the weight has been recorded, you can apply individual activities to the animal, apply a management tag that's previously been added into your account, and/or set up a draft. You can also delete any tags or activities applied by clicking the 'x' in the same field as it.

Quick Weigh session summary:

The summary screen allows you to see activities, drafts, tags and action activities against animals in those lists.

Top Tip: If you have an activity that you applied to the whole group during the session (e.g. administered the same amount of medicine for the group in the session), once you have saved your session, go into your session in 'Finished sessions' > 'View animals' > '+ Manage' > 'Select all' > 'Manage' > 'Log activity' and select the relevant activity to log against your animals.
