Record Vet & Med activities in Breedr
You can record a number of veterinarian and medical activities, such as administering medicine from your cabinet or recording test results in Breedr
Find out how and what vet & med activities you can record in Breedr against an animal/s through the mobile or web app.
Any time you see the yellow 'Manage' button in the app, you can record an activity.
Click here if you want to run through recording an activity in crush mode instead.
We highly recommend recording all medical events through option 'Administer from cabinet'. See this the Medicine Cabinet section to learn how to set up your medicine cabinet first before applying medicine to an animal/s.
This enables you to record medicine events whilst keeping on top of your medical inventory for compliance purposes.
Record Vet & Med activities on the mobile app:
- From the 'My Cattle' tab either select multiple animals of click on an individual animal > Manage
- 'Log activity'
- 'Vet & Med'
- See options you can record under Vet & Med
- 'Log Generic Vet Med': [use if a vet has applied the medicine - this does not update your medicine cabinet inventory] select Date; name of medicine; Batch number; Reason; Dosage; Withdrawal and optionally add: Notes and Active Ingredient > Save
- 'Administer from cabinet': select Date; select Medicine from the dropdown menu > enter batch; dosage; withdrawal; 'Reason' and other optional details > Save
- 'Log TB Test': select Date; Result and optionally add the Vet Used or Comments > Save
- 'Log BVD Test': select Date; Result and optionally add comments > Save
- 'Log Johne's Disease Test': select Date; Result and optionally add comments > Save
Record Vet & Med activities on the web app:
Through the 'My Cattle' page, you can select one or multiple animals to record various activities, each of which is subsequently stored within the individual history timeline of the selected animal(s).
Note: To apply the same details to all selected animals, choose the 'To all selected animals' option. To apply different details for each animal within the cohort, select the 'To individual animals option.
Viewing Vet & Med reports:
You can log onto your web app and go to your reports to find multiple Vet & Med reports.
The Medical Treatments tab in the Herd Health report gives an overview of treatments administered to your herd as a whole.
From a medical regulatory requirement, you also have a number of reports:
The Medicine Book report
The Medicine Record where you can find a reports on 'Medication Reasons', 'Medicine Activities' and 'Medicines from Cabinet'.
