Tag Management

Manage and easily track animals in Breedr by tagging them with a custom tag. Animals can be tagged across any group or location and have multiple tags against them. You can easily add, edit and remove tags as required.

In Breedr, you can manage animals by adding 1 or more tags to a single or multiple animals. You can then filter by tag/s and record activities against this cohort of animals. These animals do not need to be in the same group or location in order to mark them with the same tag. 

Tag Management in the mobile app:

• Create a Tag
• Add a Tag to animal/s
• Remove a Tag

Tag Management on the web app:

• Create a Tag
• Add a Tag to animal/s
• Remove a Tag
• Delete a Tag

Create a Tag on the mobile app:

1. Go to the 'My Cattle' tab
2. Click 'Tags'
3. 'Create'
4. Add tag name; choose the colour > 'Create Tag'
5. A green banner will appear at the top of your screen to confirm the tag has been created. 

Add a Tag to an animal/s

1. Click on the tag name
2. Either search for animals in the search bar or select 'Manage'
3. 'Tag animals'
   

   

4. Tap the tickboxes to the right of each individual animal you want to tag. Selected animals have a green tick boxes to their right as above. Then 'Review Selection'.

5. Once happy, click 'Submit'
   

Select animals from the 'My Cattle', 'Groups' or 'Locations' tab and then add tags:

1. From the 'My Cattle' tab > 'Manage'
2. 'Manage'
3. 'Tag animals'
4. 'Add Tag'
5. Select your tag you wish to use
6. 'Confirm'
7. You should see the confirmation screen > Close
8. Your tag with the correct number of livestock against it will now be in your 'Tags' list. Tap in to view at any time.

Remove a Tag 

1. From the 'My Cattle' tab > 'Manage'
2. 'Manage'
3. 'Tag animals'
4. 'Remove Tag'
5. Select the tag you wish to remove
6. 'Confirm'

Create a tag on the web app:

Add a Tag to animal/s

1. Head to your My Cattle page
2. Search and/or filter the animals you want to tag
3. Select animals by ticking the boxes to the left as shown above
4. Add Tag
5. Your tag list will appear > Select the correct tag > Confirm. 

Remove a Tag from animal/s

1. Head to your My Cattle page
2. Search and/or filter the animals you want to remove a tag/s from
3. Select animals by ticking the boxes to the left of them
4. 'Remove tag'
5. Use the dropdown arrow to select tag/s to remove > Confirm

Delete a Tag

1. Head to your My Cattle page
2. Select 'Tags' and select the tag you want to delete
3. 'Delete tag' (see below)
