Create, Edit, and Delete a Location

Using Breedr's Location feature makes it easy to capture data and create clear reports, giving you insights to make informed decisions based on where your animals are kept.

In Locations, you can add details about pens and pastures. When you first create your account, Breedr will automatically create a "Holding Pen" at your primary ranch address. You can add as many addresses with Holding Pens as you need, as well as additional pens and pastures.

Locations can be found on both the mobile app and web portal on the 'Locations' tab on the 'My Cattle' page.

Tip: Some users use Locations to differentiate between their barns, pastures at different addresses, or pens.

Step-by-Step

To Create a Location

Mobile and Web

Click the yellow '+ Create' button.
Input relevant information, then click 'Save and finish' on the mobile app or 'Create location' on the web.

To edit or delete a Location

Mobile

From the 'Locations' tab of the 'My Cattle' page, click on the location you'd like to edit.
From here, click the three white dots at the top right of the screen next to the Bluetooth icon.
Click 'Edit Location' and enter any changes that need to be made, then click 'Save and finish.'

Web Portal

From the 'Locations' tab of the 'My Cattle' page, click the dark blue 'Edit location' button above the animal list to the right of the screen.
From here, you can either make needed changes and save, or delete the Location.

Note: The location must must be empty to delete it.

Setting a Default Location

You can change your Default Location by selecting any of your existing locations.
