The Movements feature in Breedr helps you track when and where animals move
Follow these steps to upload a file of animals into a movement, ensuring the movement is performed and recorded accurately.
1. Make sure your spreadsheet is in .CSV format.
Note: Required columns include animal ID and Movement Name.
2. Log in to the Breedr web platform with this link.
3. On the left menu bar, choose 'Import Data' and then select 'Custom Import.'
4. Click 'Movement' and then 'Move OFF.'
5. Choose the file of animals you wish to move and then click 'Next.'
6. Select the animal id type (Electronic id, visual id, Breedr id) from the drop down to the "Animal ID*" column in the uploader.
7. Match the "Movement Name" column to the corresponding column in your file. For example, if your file includes movement dates (e.g., "12/4/24"), use that column as the movement name. Breedr will create separate movements for each unique name and group the animals accordingly.
8. Click 'Finish Upload' to automatically create a Draft movement with the selected name, grouping the appropriate animals under it.
9. Now that you have a draft movement, you're ready to submit it. Navigate to the Movements Dashboard from the left-hand menu to update the details, such as the date, destination, and reason. Once everything is updated, click Submit to finalize. You can also add weigh tickets and affidavits to the draft movement from your mobile device before submitting.
