If your tag format is not set correctly, your EID numbers may display an extra space (e.g 840 1234567891011 instead of 8401234567891011). You can fix this by setting your tag format to 'Decimal 2'.
If you will be connecting a Tru Test SRS2 or SRS2i EID Reader to the Breedr mobile app, you need to make sure your reader is set to the correct tag format.
How to change your EID Reader format to 'Decimal 2':
1. On your EID reader, click ‘Settings’.
2. Scroll to and click ‘Tag Reading’.
3. Find and click ‘Tag Format’.
4. Press the round black button until ‘Decimal 2’ is selected..png?width=670&height=377&name=Address%20Book%20guide%20update%20MOBILE%20(7).png)
*Note: If your EID number was uploaded with an extra space, simply export your animal data from Breedr, remove the space in your spreadsheet, and use the Edit Animals importer to update your records. You can also reach out to us via chat to help you fix this!
If you've connected your Tru Test SRS2 or SRS2i EID Reader to the Breedr app and you're having inconsistent connection issues, it could be that you reader is set to the incorrect connection mode. Select the 'Default' connection mode on your EID Reader to ensure a reliable Bluetooth connection with the Breedr app.
How to set your connection mode to 'Default':
1. Navigate to ‘Settings’ on the EID reader.
2. Scroll to and click ‘Bluetooth’.
3. Scroll to and click 'Advanced'.
4. Use the round black button to click 'Default'.png?width=670&height=377&name=Address%20Book%20guide%20update%20MOBILE%20(6).png)
