Movements overview in Breedr

It's easy to register movements, births and deaths for your herd and send to BCMS/ScotEID using Breedr

Movements, births and deaths logged in Breedr generate regulatory movements ready for you to approve and send to BCMS/ScotEID in a two-step process:

  1. Create the movement activity on mobile or web.

  2. Go to the regulatory page on the web and 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID'.

Note: Before recording movement activities, if you want to send your movements, births and deaths to BCMS/ScotEID, you must link your Breedr account to BCMS/ScotEID and opt in to movements.

Link your Breedr account to BCMS/ScotEID:

  1. On your Breedr web app, go to 'Settings'.
  2. 'Farm Management'.
    1. 'Add unit', entering in your farm address and CPH number.
    2. 'Add new connection' > select BCMS or ScotEID from the dropdown > enter in your farm software details > 'Save'. If you don't already have your farm software details, click here to find out how to get these.
    3. Tick the box at the bottom of 'Farm Management' page that states 'Send registrations and movements to BCMS Integration/ScotMoves' > 'Save'.

 

Movements overview:

  1. Record your movement activity.
    1. On Movements: 'Scan passport', 'Add animal', 'Move to location' [from a different CPH number of your own] - mobile app only
    2. Off Movements: 'Mark off-farm', 'Move to location' [to a different CPH number of your own] - mobile and web app
    3. Deaths: 'Mark as dead' - mobile and web app
    4. Births: 'Log Birth', 'Scan passport' - mobile app only

  2. Go to your Regulatory Dashboard.
    1. Click on the number in the 'Ready to Approve' column to bring up animal/s that you have just recorded a movement activity for. Select animals and either:
      1. 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID' to notify BCMS/ScotEID of the movements/registrations.
      2. 'Change date' (if you notice the movement date is incorrect), and then proceed to 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID'.
      3. 'Don't Send' if you have already reported directly to BCMS/ScotEID outside of Breedr and/or do not use Breedr for your BCMS/ScotEID movements/registrations.
      4. 'Undo' if you'd like to revert/undo the movements/registrations.
