Scan and Move off

Learn how to use Quick Scan and Move Animals

If you are using a compatible stick reader and want to scan EIDs and then send them off, follow this guide.

1. Connect to your stick reader by tapping the Bluetooth icon at the top right corner of your screen. See this guide on how to connect.

2. Choose the device you want to connect.

3. Start by scanning EIDs. The count will appear the top of your screen. Once you are finished scanning, tap 'Stop/Save.'

Note: Movements are limited to 220 animals, so you may have to do multiple scan sessions.

4. Review the summary of scanned tags, and tap 'Manage.'

5. If you are done scanning but not ready to complete the movement, tap 'Save and finish' and you can come back to it later.

6. If you are ready to move animals, after tapping 'Manage,' choose 'Create OFF Movement' from the list of options.

7. Input the details of the movement, including Date, Reason, and Destination. You can also rename the movement if you wish.

8. For the Destination, choose from your address book or within your network. Sending to your address book will keep a record of where the animal has gone, while a network movement will also move the animal record to another Breedr account.

9. Tap 'Submit.'

Moving Animals AFTER a session:

If you have a list of scanned animals to move off, you can also do this from the Movements Dashboard.

1. Go to the Home page, and tap 'Create Movement.'

2. Choose 'Move Off' and then select from your list of completed sessions.

3. Input the details of the movement and tap 'Submit.'
