Upload Activities - Web

Upload activities from your desktop or laptop computer

Note: Accepted carcass grade yields include Utility, Select, Dark Cutter, Bloodshot, Choice, Commercial, Prime, Hardbone, Canner, Cutter, No Roll, Over 30, Standard, and Commercial.

To upload animal activities, the animals must be already added to Breedr. Follow this guide to learn how to upload animals.

The web can be accessed here, just log in using the same username and password as the mobile app.

Note: Your file must be in CSV format, follow this guide if you need a hand converting your file.


Step-by-step

  1. Navigate to the menu on the left-hand side of your screen, and click 'Upload'.

  2. Select 'Custom Import'.

  3. Choose the type of activity you would like to log.

    ​Birth & Death - Estrus, castration, death 

    ​Breeding - Dry, weaning, embryo transfer, embryo, insemination, preg check, pregnancy loss, remove sire, introduce sire, zoetis clarifide plus EPD

    ​Financial - Animal purchase, animal sale, contacts

    ​Genetic Evaluation - Docility score, foot score, frame score, hip height, muscle ultrasound, PAP score, pelvic score, udder score, RFI, DNA test, parentage verification

    ​Movement - Move on cattle, move off cattle, previous keeper

    Notes

    ​Performance -     Carcass grade, colostrum total protein, body condition score, live weight

    Note: The accepted carcass grade yields are Utility, Select, Dark Cutter, Bloodshot, Choice, Commercial, Prime, Hardbone, Canner, Cutter, No Roll, Over 30, Standard and Commercial.

    ​Treatments - Horn removal, hoof trim

    ​Vet & Med - Bull BSE, johne's disease test, trich test, administer medicine


    Use this example to format your data:

    This file contains the animal IDs to match an existing animal in Breedr, a column containing all the animal's weights, and the date they were recorded. Note that many activities do require a date that will need to be filled out. 

  4. For this example, we will upload a live weight. Click on 'Performance' and select 'Live weight'.

  5. Select 'Upload file' and choose the file you would like to upload.

  6. Match the column headings from your file to the ones on Breedr. Each column heading has a drop-down menu to choose from.

  7. In the 'Animal Matching Column' select the animal id that you would like to match to (and is in your spreadsheet).

  8. Match the column with the activity and the date, and click  'Finish Upload'.
