Get started with Breedr Pro
Follow these simple steps to get your farm set up for cattle, sheep, or both on Breedr
Step 1 : Download the mobile app & log into your web app
Breedr Livestock mobile app is available for Android or iOS mobile phones and tablets. Login with the same details to both your mobile and web app. Activities recorded on either the mobile or web app will translate across all devices and users.
-
- Click this link from your mobile or tablet device to download Breedr
- Access the web app version of Breedr by visiting uk.breedr.co/login
Step 2: Import your animals
Use the species switcher on the mobile or web app to access the correct species for your farm.
For Cattle - Import your herd from BCMS/ScotEID:
Use your Farm Software Username and Password from BCMS, or, if in Scotland, your Username and Password for ScotEID. You can set this connection up through the mobile or the web app - you only need to connect through one device for the account to be set up and your animals to import across to your Breedr account.
See our video and step-by-step guide on how to import your herd via the mobile or web app.

Note: If you don't have your BCMS username and password, use our handy requestor and read our guide on how to use the requestor.
For Sheep - Upload a CSV spreadsheet of animals:
Use this method if you are importing a file from an existing farm management system, e.g. FarmPlan or Farm Matters.
Please see our guide on adding sheep to your account.
Step 3: Organise your animals
Organise your animals into groups and locations and apply management tags where required. This allows for easier tracking and reporting of performance of animals throughout Breedr.
Step 4: Opt in to send movements and registrations (optional)
Once your account is connected to BCMS or ScotEID, you can opt in to send movements and registrations through the Breedr app to your regulatory system within a simple 2-step process:
- Record the movement or registration.
- Go to the Regulatory Dashboard on the web app to 'Send to BCMS/ScotEID'.
Top Tip: Make sure you opt in before scanning any passports or logging movements.
Step 5: Set up your medicine cabinet
Add medicines to your online cabinet to allow you to record medicine application through the app. With each application, medicine automatically depletes from your online medicine cabinet. Complete your regulatory and farm assurance needs through the Breedr mobile app.
Step 6: Start weighing
Start a speedy Quick Weigh session or set up draft parameters depending on weight, sex or days on farm.
Check your equipment compatibility and get your device/s connected via Bluetooth to automatically pull through EIDs and/or weights to your session.
No compatible equipment? No worries - you can manually input IDs and weights where required.
Once you have started logging data against your animals, why not view and export this information in the Report section on the web app. Find more information on reports here.
